Rhino has transferred the R51 for his matchstick! Woohoo! I'm waiting for it to reflect on my side, and then I'll be bidding on some thing. I'm really keen to see what I can turn this R51 into!
The hold up has been his satellite access on the cruise ship. It's apparently been all fixed up now, so we'll hopefully hear more from him (",)
The cruise ship that Rhino works on is called the Celebrity Mercury- here's a photo he sent me of it
Rhino looks after the well being of all the IT stuff onboard- he says it's a job he really enjoys, despite it being quite hectic! I'd say it must be a hectic job- imagine how much IT goes into running a ship that size!
So Rhino's on his Celebrity Mercury in Alaska right now. I think it must be really cold there now, what with glaciers around them... I've asked him to send me a photo of a glacier- I've never seen one before, have you?
The Celebrity Mercury is going to be in Mexico soon, and Rhino is looking forward to the sun, even though he says that Alaska has been fun. Then after a whole lot of stops in places in Mexico, they will be off up the Panama Canal and then into the Carribbean (cool!) and Florida. And they're going to pop into Aruba (I haven't heard of Aruba- I'll have to look it up sometime soon).
Well, that's the latest update I have for you for now… People are really amazed that I managed to sell a matchstick for R51.00- it is pretty remarkable hey! I just keep thinking about how cool those dudes are who placed bids on my auction, and to Rhino for winning and being such a sport! I look forward to meeting him when he gets back to Durban sometime, when I drop off his matchstick- which for the time being is sitting on top of my PC for safe keeping (",)
