Ok. So I've finally done a recon after a long break from this little project:

I got R51 for the matchstick I auctioned off.
After purchasing 2 items (the dolphin mobile and lighter) and paying the fees I owed bidorbuy for auctioning off these items, I am left with R58.51.

Phew- there was a lot of effort involved in converting the R51 to R58.51. I'm not sure if the R7.51 was worth the time and energy it took to create it... but maybe it's because the value of the items is so small- maybe it's early days... maybe I need to be more creative or take more of a risk to get a higher return on my time and energy involved...

What I am pleased about is I didn't make a loss- I have moved forward, and even if it's a small step forward towards the R10 000, I am R7.51 closer to that goal!

So- time to think about how to spend the R58.51 so that I can move another step closer to R10 000! Any suggestions welcome!

I know it's been ages, got delayed in waiting for the winner of one of my auctions to pay for the item, which I am pleased to say that's been done and the parcel is in the post!

So now I need to do a quick recon and see how much cash I have and what my next step is.

And I've moved to looking to source an item off line to sell on bidorbuy, instead of buying one through bidorbuy. I've really been battling to find something for R51.00 that I could then re-sell, and also to then win the auction when I did find something.

So with a bit of snooping, I found a good supplier off line and am going to suss out the merchandise hopefully this weekend….

So watch this space- if all goes well, I'll be auctioning off an item or two next week!

Well, I've been bidding and keep getting out bid! I tried a few crazy auctions, hoping for a great bargain- and seeing as though I need to get an item and the shipping for R51.00, maximum, I can't bid too high!

So I lost this funky triangle shoulder bag to a guy called "Abraham Nel". He just outbid me near the end of the auction! But at least it led me to this seller called Perkal Gifts! Boy does s/he have a lot of items for sale! I am sure I'll find something from him or her! And s/he has sold over 4440 items! That is actually the number of positive ratings s/he has! So... let's go hunting for a bargain!

Well so much for even thinking that I could try get a Cruise for R51- They started the auction earlier than originally advertised and when I got to look at it at the time I thought it was opening for bids, the price had already got into the thousands!

So I'll take a different strategy... and here is a pic of a few items that I am tracking in my nifty MY bidorbuy section, and trying to decide if I should bid or buy or not... for my R51 from Rhino...

Hey! It's crazy auction day, and I've found an auction that opens tonight at 20:00 for just half an hour, that I'll see if I can get for R51! You never know! If I don't bid, I'll definatley not get it...

And it's quite a fitting item I think, as it's for a 4 night cruise on the Melody Durban in the Portuguese Islands and my first buyer was Rhino, from Durban who works on a cruise ship!
